Why Lapeng Day Care
We are involved in Educare for children between ages 3 months & 6 years. Our vision is simply to give our children an early start & the Best Tender Care and Love.
We are situated in Tembisa. Our school is in a Free Standing building away from the hustle and bustle. We are in close proximity to the SAPS Tembisa.
Lapeng offer open outside play in our huge play garden all under the supervision of a teacher /caregiver. Each age group is kept in different classes. We are under close guidance of the Social Department as we are affiliated with them.
All staff are qualified and provide quality education to our children. The Department Of Education syllabus is used and is integrated with our own Lapeng Day Care workbooks.
Physical development
Is when a child develops physically and be able to achieve milestones intended. Physical development is divided into two (2) elements namely Gross Motor or Large muscle development and Fine Motor or Small muscle.
-Gross Motor: Running, jumping, throwing a ball.
– Fine Motor: writing or cutting of paper, seeing with your eyes, tasting with your tongue etc.
Emotional Development.
With this domain we look at behavioral aspect of development, we look at how the child copes with activities emotionally for instance are they able to handle pressure when developmental activities take place.
As the practitioner one has to develop the need through activities so that the child is stronger and intelligent on the motional aspect of things. One should do more activities on signing, dancing, story telling so that they keep on smilling and happy.
Social Development
The integration of children in one space allows children from different walks of life to engage in a happy manner to achieve a milestone, learner should be a team player an be able to adapt to changes in the environment without being compromised and crushed.
The “make believe”(fantasy play)plays a bigger role in improving such domain.
Cognitive development
With this domain we focus on the thinking capabilities of a child (Intellectual) The mental capacity of problem solving ,numbers language acquisition , learning of objects and relation between causes and effects. It also refers to the mental capacity of the child.
Language development
There are different stages of language development , from sounds, babbling, two word sentence and etc.
